This Privacy Policy explains how Rohani Arooj (the "App", package com.xaalytics.rohaniarooj) handles your information. We built this app to be a personal Islamic spiritual companion — Quran, hadith, prayer times, tasbih, and adhkar. Your spiritual practice is private; we treat your data the same way.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

The App does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any account credentials. There is nothing to "sign up" for.

1.2 Information collected automatically

The App accesses the following, only on your device, only with your permission:

• Approximate location — to calculate accurate prayer times for your city. Coordinates are processed locally by the adhan calculation library and cached on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party server.
• Notification permission — to remind you of prayer times. Notifications are scheduled locally by the operating system; no push servers are used.
• Local storage — your tasbih counts, namaz history, theme preference, and last known location are saved in the app's private storage on your device only.

2. How We Use Information

Locally on your device, the App uses your data to:

• Calculate and display the five daily prayer times based on your location.
• Schedule prayer reminder notifications.
• Persist your tasbih count, prayer history, and selected theme across sessions.
• Display the Quran, hadith, and adhkar content bundled with the App.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the App on your device.

3. Information Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any personal information because we do not collect any. The App functions fully offline once installed (with the exception of optional map / location services provided by your device's OS).

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or social login providers. The only "third party" involved is the operating system itself (Android / iOS) which provides the location and notification APIs we rely on.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal data, no special provisions are needed for users under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). Parents can let children use the App without privacy concerns.

6. Data Security

All app data lives in private storage on your device, protected by the operating system's standard sandboxing. Uninstalling the App removes all of its data. We hold no copies of your data because we never received any.

7. Your Rights

Because the App stores nothing on our servers, there is no remote data to access, correct, or delete. You have full control: clearing the App's data in your device settings, or uninstalling the App, fully removes everything.

8. International Use

The App is published worldwide. As no personal data is transmitted off your device, no cross-border data transfer takes place.

9. Quran and Hadith Content

All Quran verses use the Urdu translation Kanz-ul-Irfan by Mufti Muhammad Qasim Attari (Dawat-e-Islami), sourced from the official Dawat-e-Islami Quran database. Tafseer references include Sirat-ul-Jinan, Marifat-ul-Quran ala Kanz-ul-Irfan, and Tafseer Khazin. Hadith references are from the canonical six books (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan an-Nasa'i), Musnad Ahmad, Mishkat al-Masabih, and Tabarani. These are religious texts in the public domain.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes on the Play Store and App Store.
